Be part of something special – volunteer to help in Neighbor to Neighbor’s Food Pantry or Clothing Room. Our dedicated and enthusiastic team of over 250 volunteers is the driving force behind all we do.
Regular Weekly Volunteers: Volunteers assist clients as they shop, sort donations, stock shelves and participate in food drive pick ups. Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular shift or serve as an occasional “substitute.”
Corporate and Community Groups: Every Saturday is reserved for corporate and community group volunteers. Volunteer shifts are from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM except Holiday weekends when we are closed.
Student Volunteer Opportunities: The following procedures are new for this year and apply to all of the schools in town (public and private.) Please keep in mind your sport team schedules as well as Community Service requirements.
Follow this link to sign up for volunteer hours. The available dates for students will be listed on this web site with the number of slots available. You must sign up for each shift. There are a limited number of slots available on each day. Walk-ins will not be allowed. Once the slots are full, we will not accept anymore volunteers for that shift.
You must have a current Registration Form on file before you can volunteer. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have a signed permission slip from a parent or guardian (on the back of Student Registration Form.)
If you are a new volunteer to Neighbor to Neighbor, you must contact the Operations Coordinator at gro.hciwneergntn@noswald before you can begin volunteering.
Community Service Volunteers: Please contact Duncan Lawson at gro.hciwneergntn@noswald or 203-622-9208 for information about completing community service hours.
Special Event Volunteers: Countless volunteers organize and conduct food and clothing drives, pick-up donations from retail stores and offer their assistance wherever there is the greatest need.
To volunteer, please fill out the appropriate form above and fax, scan as a .pdf, email or bring in the form to our Operations Coordinator Duncan Lawson at gro.hciwneergntn@noswald or 203-622-9208, ext. 12.
