2023 Annual Spring Luncheon

Chef Rocco DiSpirito is is a James Beard award-winning, pioneering Food Network chef and number one New York bestselling author who is known for his unique approach to flavor as well as his dedication to proving that healthy and delicious are not mutually exclusive.

Most recently, DiSpirito appeared as both judge and competitor on Food Network’s Tournament of Champions, Guys Grocery Games, Guys Ranch Kitchen and his own Restaurant Divided.

Advocating on behalf of food issues has been one of the most rewarding experiences of DiSpirito’s life. He is an Entertainment Council member for Feeding America, advisor with Wellness in the Schools (WITS), as well as City Harvest, and frequent volunteer at food banks throughout NYC.

Four-time James Beard Award Winner Chef Michel Nischan has been dubbed the “Godfather” of advocacy in the culinary world. Michel is Co-Founder of the James Beard Foundation Chef Boot Camp for Policy and Change, and the only chef in America to change the Federal Farm Bill, twice, through his non-profit organization Wholesome Wave.

Known for his penchant for addressing some of society’s most vexing problems, Michel’s powerful speeches have silenced many rooms while influencing some of the biggest names in food and music. His courage has paved paths in advocacy for hundreds of chefs, thousands of college graduates, influencers, and communities around the world. He now puts his efforts toward feeding those who have less to spend on their family in an entire day, than what his patrons spent on a single dish.
